NYS ATTORNEY GENERAL CUOMO ENDORSES MAYOR BROWN FOR RE-ELECTION

Cites Close Partnership in Improving Buffalo, Building for Future Growth and Prosperity

BUFFALO – New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo today announced his endorsement of Mayor Byron W. Brown for re-election as Mayor of Buffalo.
“Since 2006, I’ve worked very closely with Mayor Brown on a variety of initiatives designed to reduce crime, protect residential neighborhoods against blight, improve Buffalo’s residents’ quality of life and make government more accessible and transparent,” said Attorney General Cuomo. “Mayor Brown is committed to making Buffalo stronger and he has built a firm foundation for future growth and prosperity. I am very pleased to endorse Mayor Brown for a second term as Mayor of Buffalo.”

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo,” said Mayor Brown. “The Attorney General has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to working with my Administration and I’m proud of our collaboration on policies that have helped our residents. I look forward to continuing our joint efforts and make the kind of progress that will make our neighborhoods stronger, our streets safer and our city more livable. I thank Attorney General Cuomo for his confidence in me and my tenure as Mayor of Buffalo. By lowering crime, removing illegal guns off our streets, cutting taxes and investing in commercial and residential neighborhoods, we have created a solid foundation to move Buffalo forward to greater strength and prosperity.”
