GOIN’ SOUTH CIVIC GROUP ENDORSES MAYOR BROWN FOR RE-ELECTION

Largest South Buffalo Civic, Social, Cultural and Charitable Organization Backs Mayor

BUFFALO – South Buffalo’s most significant and largest civic organization, Goin’ South has endorsed Mayor Byron W. Brown for re-election.

Composed of approximately 450 families, Goin’ South members are proud of their efforts “…to clean up, beautify, refurbish and replant public spaces in the community. Goin’ South strives to promote Irish culture and heritage through community participation and family-oriented activities.”

“I thank Ray McGurn and all of the dedicated members of Goin’ South for supporting my re-election and for confirming that the progress we have achieved citywide, particularly in South Buffalo, is making a positive impact on the lives of our city residents,” said Mayor Brown. “I have seen firsthand the great work Goin’ South has achieved throughout South Buffalo and I am honored that they have expressed their confidence in me and my Administration.”

In addition to the support of Goin’ South, Mayor Brown has received the endorsement of AFSCME Local 650, Boilermakers Local # 7, the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 14, the Buffalo Building & Construction Trades Council, the Western New York Chapter of the Working Families Party, the Erie County Independence Party, the Erie County Conservative Party, the Western New York Hispanic & Friends Association, and the Buffalo Educational Support Team.
